Praktik ini umumnya dilakukan dengan cara duduk tenang, memejamkan mata, dan mengatur pernapasan perlahan-lahan dan teratur, setidaknya selama 10\u201320 menit. Meditasi dapat dilakukan oleh siapa pun, di mana pun, dan kapan pun. Meditasi sebagai disiplin spiritual bukan hanya tentang keutuhan tubuh, tetapi juga keutuhan pikiran dan jiwa, keutuhan dari keseluruhan diri kita.
